Cloudflare Integration
Cloudflare provides a free CDN to improve speed, security, and performance for your site
WARNING
If you already have a Cloudflare account and your domain is connected, export your current DNS records and enter them into the control panel before proceeding with the steps below.
Connecting Cloudflare to the control panel makes the control panel the source of truth. All DNS records will be managed in the control panel, not directly in Cloudflare.
IMPORTANT
Please follow the below steps in the exact order shown.
Step 1. Create a Cloudflare account
- Create an account with Cloudflare
Step 2. Add your Domain to cloudflare
- Login to Cloudflare
- Navigate to Domains > Overview in the sidebar menu
- Click the 'Onboard domain' button
- Enter your domain and select the 'Manually enter DNS records' option
- Click the 'Continue' button
Step 3. Create an API key
- Login to your Cloudflare account.
- Navigate to Manage Account in the sidebar menu.
- Click Account API Tokens.
- Click the Create Token button.
- Use the Edit zone DNS template.
- Do not change the default permissions.
- Select the specific domain you want to manage.
- Click Continue to summary.
- Click Create Token.
- Copy and save your API token somewhere safe.
Step 4. Connect Cloudflare to the control panel
- Login to the control panel
- Navigate to Integrations in the side menu.
- Select Cloudflare.
- Click the Add button.
- Enter a name for the API key (this can be anything).
- Enter your API key in the API token field.
- Click Save.
NOTE
Connecting Cloudflare to the control panel makes the control panel the source of truth. All DNS records will be managed in the control panel, not directly in Cloudflare.
